Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 8 (1 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
- 3 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- Melt semi-sweet and unsweetened chocolates together with butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Cool.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until slightly thickened.
- Add the chocolate mixture and mix well.
- Add flour mixture mixing well.
- Stir in chocolate chips, pecans and walnuts.
- (If batter is thin, allow to stand for 10 minutes.)
- Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets, spacing cookies 3-inches apart.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove to rack to cool.
- Do not overbake.
