Herbed Pizza Dough
- 1 cup Water
- 1 Tablespoon Shortening
- 2 Tablespoons Shortening
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2- 3/4 cups Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Oregano
- 2 Tablespoons Basil
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Bread Machine Yeast
- Combine all ingredients in your bread machine baking pan in order listed.
- Put the baking pan in the chamber of your bread machine.
- Set the machine for dough and turn on.
- Once dough is finished, remove it from the bread machine bowl and put in a mixing bowl.
- Cover it for at least 30 minutes.
- Now you are ready to spread out the dough and make your pizza (according to your favorite pizza recipe)!
- For my recipe, you preheat oven to 500 degrees F. If using a pizza stone put rack on lowest position.
- If using a pan, use the second lowest.
- Roll or toss your crust.
- Top with your favorite toppings.
- Cook for 7 to 10 minutes depending how dark you like it and how well your oven works.
