Heavenly Angel Food Cake
- 1 package cake mix, angel food
- 1 quart yogurt frozen, softened, any flavor
- 8 ounces whipped topping, prepared frozen, thawed
- 1 x fruit fresh, for garnish
- Preheat oven to 375F (190C).
- Prepare, bake and cool cake following package directions.
- freeze for several hours or overnight.
- Cut frozen cake horizontally into thirds.
- Place bottom cake layer on serving plate.
- Spread with half the yogurt.
- Top with middle layer.
- Spread with remaining yogurt.
- Place top cake layer on yogurt.
- Spread sides and top with whipped topping.
- Freeze for 2 or 3 hours or until ready to serve.
- Garnish with fresh fruit.
- TIP: Fill cake with you favorite flavor of yogurt, coordinate your fruit garnish with the yogurt flavor.
- For example, use peach slices with peach yogurt or strawberry slices with strawberry yogurt.
