Banana Beignets Recipe
- 1 c. All-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr Salt to taste Grnd nutmeg to taste Grnd cinnamon to taste
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 x Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract Vegetable oil, (for shallow-fat frying)
- 3 med Ripe bananas, peeled and cut into
- 2 x Inch chunks Powdered sugar
- Dust a medium bowl with powdered sugar, add in flour, sugar, baking pwdr, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon and stir well.
- In a small bowl, beat together lowfat milk, egg and vanilla till well blended.
- Stir egg mix in with flour mix.
- Stir till smooth.
- In a deep skillet with 2 inches of warm oil (375 degrees).
- Use tongs to dip pcs of banana into batter to coat.
- Fry banana till golden, turning to brown all sides.
- Remove beignets and drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl with powdered sugar, roll each beignet to coat.
- Serve hot.
- Approximately 7 min.
