Mooseburger Chop Suey
- 3 large stalks celery
- 1 green pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 lb. mooseburger
- 1 beef bouillon
- 1/3 c. boiling water
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 can mixed Chinese vegetables
- Cut celery, pepper and onion in thin slices.
- Melt shortening in heavy skillet and cook onion, celery, pepper and meat over very high heat.
- Dissolve bouillon in water; add to meat mixture.
- Mix cornstarch, salt, sugar, pepper, soy sauce and cold water to a smooth paste.
- Add to meat mixture and stir thoroughly.
- Drain vegetables well and mix into meat mixture.
- Heat through and serve with rice and Chinese noodles.
