Warm Brownie Pudding Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
  2. Grease 9-inch square baking dish.
  3. Combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa in a bowl.
  4. Combine milk, butter and vanilla in measuring cup; stir into dry ingredients just until blended.
  5. Spoon batter evenly into prepared dish.
  6. Combine brown sugar and remaining 1/4 cup cocoa in small bowl.
  7. Sprinkle evenly over batter.
  8. Pour over boiling water over entire mixture; do not stir.
  9. Bake 35 to 38 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes Cool 10 minutes.
  10. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
