Mom's Mac 'n Cheese

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, and drain.
  2. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add flour and cook, stirring for about one minute.
  4. Add milk and whisk until the mixture starts to thicken.
  5. Break up the cheese slices and drop into the milk mixture.
  6. Do several pieces at once, stirring until melted.
  7. Continue with the rest of the cheese until you have a nice, creamy cheese sauce.
  8. Dont let it get too thick; add more milk as you go, if necessary.
  9. Add salt and pepper to the cheese sauce- adjust it to your taste.
  10. Pour sauce over pasta and mix well.
