Smoky Salmon Spread Recipe
- 1 can (7 1/4 ounce.) salmon or possibly 1 c. chicken breast, diced
- 1 pkg. (8 ounce.) cream cheese, softened
- 3 drops liquid smoke flavoring
- 3 tbsp. sliced green onion
- Crackers or possibly split, toasted, buttered bagels
- Drain salmon, reserving 2 tsp.
- salmon liquid; flake.
- Combine cream cheese, liquid smoke flavoring and salmon liquid; blend thoroughly.
- Stir in green onion, then mix in salmon.
- Chill at least 2 hrs or possibly overnight to blend flavors.
- Serve as a spread with crackers or possibly bagels.
- Makes about 1 1/2 c. spread.
- Note: recipe may be doubled using 2 cans (7 3/4 ounce.
- each) salmon or possibly 1 can (15 1/2 ounce.)
- salmon.
- If you like, refrigerate2 to 3 hrs or possibly till hard.
- Shape into a ball and roll in 1/2 c. minced parsley.
