Spicy, Sweet and Savory Seared Ahi Tuna
- 1/4 cups Honey
- 1/4 cups Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cups Wasabi Powder
- 2 pounds Ahi Tuna Steaks
- 1/2 cups Sesame Seeds
- Combine honey, soy sauce and wasabi.
- You can also use wasabi paste in place of the powder, just make sure you stir well.
- Use less wasabi for less of a kick.
- Reserve half of the mixture for dipping sauce.
- Use other half to marinade the tuna steaks for one hour.
- After marinading, coat the tuna in sesame seeds.
- Sear steaks on a very hot grill cooking only about 40 seconds per side.
- Remove and wrap in foil for five minutes.
- Slice thin and serve with reserved dipping sauce.
