Eight-Treasure Golden Rice Pudding

  1. Cook rice and water in rice cooker following manufacturer's directions.
  2. Stir in sugar, custard powder and oil.
  3. Place trail mix in 3-cup heatproof bowl sprayed with cooking spray; cover with half the rice mixture, pressing onto bottom and up side of bowl.
  4. Spread with bean paste.
  5. Top with remaining rice, firmly pressing rice into bowl with back of spoon.
  6. Cover with foil.
  7. Place bowl on rack in pot or steamer.
  8. Steam over boiling water 1 hour.
  9. Remove pudding from steamer.
  10. Run knife around edge of pudding; unmold onto plate.
  11. Serve warm.
