Beef Bar-B-Q
- 6 lb. chuck roast
- 3 stalks celery, diced
- 3 large onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 medium bottle catsup (about 14 oz.)
- 3 Tbsp. barbecue sauce
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. water
- Cut
- beef
- into
- 5 or 6 chunks.
- Place in Dutch oven or roaster.
- Combine
- all
- other
- ingredients
- and
- pour over the meat.
- Heat to boiling on top of the range.
- Cover and bake at 300u0b0 for
- 6 hours or until meat is tender enough to shred with a fork.
- Remove
- fat
- and
- bone and pull the meat into shreds with a fork.
- If sauce is too "soupy", cook until thick enough to spoon onto buns.
- Makes enough for 30 to 40 servings.
