Ras Malai.
- 1 cup Powdered milk
- 1 liter Milk
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 medium Egg
- 1/4 tsp Baking powder
- 3 Shelled & crushed cardamoms
- 5 Sliced Almonds (optional)
- 1 pinch Nutmeg powder
- 1 pinch Saffron
- 3 Whole cardamoms
- 5 Sliced pistacchios (optional)
- Pour the milk in a big pan,
- Add the sugar, part of the Saffron,+ the whole cardamoms.
- Bring the milk to boil.
- Meanwhile, combine the milk powder, oil, baking powder, the remainimg saffron, the crushed cardamoms &the egg.
- Mix well till it forms a nice dough.
- Make small balls out of the dough.
- As soon as finished making balls, put them gently in the boiling milk, lower the heat a little, so that the milk doesn't overflow & keep turning them gently, BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THEM.
- When the balls start rising, lower the heat a little & keep stirring GENTLY.
- Cook for about 7-8 more minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Transfer into a serving dish & garnish with sliced almonds & pistacchios.
- Refrigerate after cooling it completely.
- Serve cold.
