Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
- Cream butter; gradually add sugars, beating until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and beat until blended.
- Combine flour, soda and salt.
- Add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
- Stir in vanilla, chocolate chips and pecans.
- Divide mixture into thirds.
- Spoon each third onto an ungreased cookie sheet, spreading into an 8 1/2-inch circle.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Gently remove from cookie sheets and let cool on wire racks.
- Makes 3 (10-inch) cookies.
