Steamed Mussels with Tomatoes, Garlic, and Ouzo

  1. In a large pot on high heat saute the onion in the olive oil until tender but not brown.
  2. Add the garlic.
  3. Continue to cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Add the tomatoes, mussels, and parsley.
  5. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until all of the mussels open.
  6. Discard the unopened ones and with a large spoon stir the mussels around.
  7. Add the ouzo and taste sauce for seasoning.
