Best Ever Pie Dough Recipe

  1. I can guarantee which the bottom crust will be as flaky as the top crust.
  2. It's a BIG hit around here!
  3. Try it, it's SUPER flaky...
  4. Mix together the flour and salt; cut in the shortening till it resembles tiny peas.
  5. Add in sufficient water to the egg to make 3/4 c. of liquid (I used Cool water).
  6. Add in to the flour mix and blend till dough holds together.
  7. The recipe didn't say to refrigeratethe dough but I did anyway.. habit.
  8. Not only is this crust SUPER FLAKY but it's VERY easy to work with.
  9. I've never achieved a finer crust.
  10. Try it, TRUST ME, it's wonderful!
  11. This recipe is suppose to make 3 double pie crusts, I'm not sure.
  12. I got one double pie crust & made 12 small apricot tarts with the rest of it.
