Nana's Mincemeat

  1. Cook the beef in 2 tablespoons salt until tender (as for pot roast), about 2 1/2 - 3 hours.
  2. Cool; put meat through meat grinder.
  3. Put apples through meat grinder then lemon.
  4. Remove rind membrane first and then put the rind through the very fine chopper.
  5. Cook all ingredients, except that the mincemeat does not scorch.
  6. Bottle for preserves.
  7. So delicious!
