Walnut Graham Torte

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs; mix well.
  3. Combine graham cracker crumbs, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt; add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk and mix well.
  4. Fold in apples and 3/4 cup walnuts.
  5. Spread into three greased 8-inch round cake pans.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake test done.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
  8. Whip the cream and confectioners sugar until stiff; spread between layers and on top of torte.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts.
  10. Yields 8 to 10 servings.
