Tasty Wieners
- 1 pkg. hot dogs
- 1 medium onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red pepper
- carrots
- 1 qt. tomato juice
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- basil and oregano
- black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- Dice the hot dogs; chop the onions, carrots, green and red peppers into small pieces. I use an electric skillet.
- Brown diced hot dogs in olive oil.
- Add onions, green and red peppers and saute for 10 minutes.
- Be sure diced hot dogs don't burn.
- Add quart of tomato juice, carrots and remaining herbs.
- Cook on low to medium heat until mixture thickens.
- Add pepper as desired. (You could include celery and garlic if so desired.)
- Stir occasionally throughout mixing process. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
