Paw Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg yolk; beat until well blended.
  4. Add flour; stir until well blended.
  5. Stir in 1 cup of the cereal.
  6. Roll level tablespoonfuls of dough into balls; place on ungreased baking sheets 1/2-1 inch apart.
  7. Flatten cookies.
  8. With fingertip, make 3 indents on one side of each cookie for "paw print".
  9. Bake at 350F for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  10. (Do not overbake).
  11. Cool a few minutes on wire cooling rack.
  12. Fill "paw print" indents evenly with melted chocolate; top each print with 1 piece of cereal.
  13. Cool completely.
