Barbecued Spareribs
- 1/4 c. chopped onions
- 1 Tbsp. bacon drippings or butter
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/8 c. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 (10 1/4 oz.) can Del Grosso pizza sauce
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 3 lb. country style ribs
- Saute onions in butter or bacon drippings until brown; stir in all remaining ingredients, except spareribs.
- Simmer until mixed and heated.
- Pour sauce over ribs and add water to pan to cover meat.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 2 to 4 hours until meat falls from bones. Lower oven temperature to 300u0b0 to 325u0b0 if ribs brown too fast. Leftover sauce freezes well.
