Fruit and Cheese Braid With Chocolate Sauce

  1. Heat oven to 400F Cut 3 ounces cream cheese and butter into baking mix.
  2. Stir in fruit juice (orange).
  3. Turn dough out onto surface well dusted with baking mix.
  4. Gently roll in baking mix to coat.
  5. Knead 10 times.
  6. Roll into rectangle 15 X 9 inches.
  7. Place on large ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Beat 8 ounces cream cheese and fruit preserves (marmalade) until smooth.
  9. Spread mixture in a 4 inch strip lengthwise down center of dough rectangle.
  10. Cut dough into strips stopping at the cream cheese layer (do not cut all the way through).
  11. Fold strips over filing overlapping and crossing at center (to create a braid).
  12. Bake 20 minutes or until golden.
  13. While braid is baking, mix all chocolate sauce ingredients until smooth.
  14. Once done, cool 10 minutes and remove to wire rack.
  15. Cool completely and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
