Sauce for Spaghetti del Pescatore
- 1/2 Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 to 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 can Canned tomato
- 1 Soup stock cube
- 1 tbsp Red wine (if you don't have, any color will do)
- 1/2 Red chili pepper
- 10 Shrimp
- 1 Squid
- 4 Scallops
- 15 Manila clams
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 Pasta or pizza herb seasoning, if you have
- Remove the shrimp from their shells and devein.
- Remove the squid innards and cut into rings, removing the tentacles one at a time.
- Soak the clams then clean by scrubbing them together.
- Heat olive oil in a pan.
- Add minced garlic and the ingredients from Step 1 and cook through.
- Transfer to a plate.
- In the same pan from Step 2, add minced onion and garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper and cook until soft.
- Add the canned tomatoes, soup stock, wine, and red chili to the pan in Step 3 and boil for 5 minutes.
- Add tomato ketchup if desired.
- Add the cooked seafood from Step 2.
- Add the herbs and clams and simmer to complete!
- I used pizza and pasta seasoning, and sea salt.
- Cream sauce pasta with crab meat!
- This is a version that substitutes clams with crab meat, and then with heavy cream mixed in!
