Microwave Old-Fashioned Pot Roast

  1. Place roast in 3-quart casserole.
  2. In a small bowl, mix tomatoes, onion, garlic powder, cayenne and pepper.
  3. Add cinnamon stick.
  4. Pour over roast. Cover. Microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce to Medium-low (150u0b0).
  5. Microwave for 1 hour longer, turning roast over after 1/2 hour.
  6. Add remaining ingredients.
  7. Re-cover. Microwave on Medium-low for 30 to 45 minutes or until roast and vegetables are tender.
  8. Let stand for 10 minutes.
