Maple Bacon Roasted Pecans

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Set the slices of bacon on the wire rack and bake for about 15 minutes or until crispy.
  3. Carefully pull the pan out of the oven.
  4. Reserve bacon grease that has dripped into the foil-lined pan.
  5. Set bacon aside.
  6. Leave the oven on.
  7. Put pecans into a medium-sized bowl and add 2 1/2 tablespoons of bacon grease, maple syrup, ginger and cinnamon.
  8. Toss to combine.
  9. Spread pecans in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until pecans are fragrant, stirring 1-2 times throughout.
  11. Remove the pan from the oven.
  12. Allow pecans to cool.
  13. Crumble the cooked bacon.
  14. When everything is cooled, mix bacon in with pecans and serve.
