Cranberry Apple Chutney(Great At Thanksgiving And Christmas)
- 3 c. brown sugar
- 2 c. distilled vinegar
- 1 c. apple juice
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1/4 tsp. ground coriander
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried grated orange peel
- 4 Golden Delicious apples, peeled and diced
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. fresh cranberries
- 2 c. raisins
- Combine first 10 ingredients in a large heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the fruit.
- Return to boil.
- Turn heat to low and cook until mixture starts to thicken, approximately 1 hour, stirring often (the chutney will thicken as it cools).
- Remove from heat and divide into containers.
- Store in refrigerator or freezer. Goes great with almost anything.
