Chillic N' Chili

  1. add oil to large soup pot.heat until oil is hot.Add the onion,bell pepper,carrots,and garlic.Cook until veggies are tender stir occassinally 6 to 8 mins.
  2. Add the chicken and break up the meat with a spoon cook until no longer pink about 12 minutes then pour off fat juices
  3. Stir in the chili powder,oregano,basil cumin,salt and red pepper flakes.
  4. cook about 3 mins.
  5. Stir in the tomatoes, beans(whatever brand you choose)broth,and tomatoe paste.
  6. Bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and cook UNCOVERED stirring occasioonally,until the flavors come together about 1 hour.
