Almond Joy Cake

  1. Prepare cake mix according to box recipe.
  2. Bake in 16 x 10 x 2-inch pan.
  3. While cake is baking, mix 1 cup evaporated milk and 1 cup sugar; bring to rapid boil and then remove from heat.
  4. Stir in marshmallows; stir until melted.
  5. Add coconut and almonds and mix well.
  6. Spread mixture over hot cake.
  7. In saucepan add 1/2 cup margarine, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup evaporated milk.
  8. Bring to a rapid boil; remove from heat.
  9. Stir in chocolate bits; stir until melted.
  10. Spread over coconut layer.
