Mince Pie

  1. Saute tomatoes and apples in butter in a large, heavy skillet or frying pan for five minutes over medium heat.
  2. Add sugar, molasses and spices.
  3. Stir well while simmering for five minutes. Add raisins, pecans, vanilla and lemon peel.
  4. Simmer, uncovered, until most of the liquid has evaporated.
