Sardines in Rashers

  1. Cut thin slices of bacon; place a sardine on each piece.
  2. Add a good dash of cayenne and a squeeze of lemon, then roll and skewer; fry in a dry frypan until bacon is just cooked.
  3. Serve very hot on toast.
