Wonderful Cheese Grits
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. (quick) grits
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 4 oz. Swiss cheese, grated
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
- Bring milk to a boil.
- Add 1/2 cup margarine and stir in grits.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is the consistency of oatmeal (about 5 minutes).
- Remove from heat, add salt and pepper and beat mixture well with eggbeater.
- Add the 1/3 cup margarine, stir in Swiss cheese and pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour.
- This can be made the day before and cooked when ready to serve.
- The cheeses give this dish a unique taste.
- Compliments game beautifully.
- Serves 10.
