Stuffed Bread
- 1 lb. round loaf white bread (unsliced)
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can condensed Cheddar cheese soup (10 3/4 oz.)
- 2 slices Cheddar cheese
- mushrooms (optional)
- Cut off top of bread and hollow out, forming crust shell. Tear bread into small pieces to make 2 cups.
- Brown beef in oil; mix in remaining ingredients except cheese slices and bread pieces.
- Simmer 4 to 5 minutes and stir in bread pieces.
- Fill crust with mixture.
- Cut cheese slices in half diagonally and place on top.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 5 to 8 minutes or until cheese melts.
- Replace top and serve.
- Yield:
- 4 to 8 servings.
