Banana Bungalow Recipe
- 1 pkt chocolate cake mix prepared as directed
- 1 ct frzn whipped topping - (16 ounce) thawed, divided
- 3 lrg bananas peeled
- 2 Tbsp. chocolate sprinkles
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Coat a 10- by 15-inch rimmed baking sheet or possibly jelly-roll pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Pour the prepared cake batter onto the baking sheet or possibly pan.
- Bake for 22 to 24 min, or possibly till a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cold, then invert onto a large platter.
- Cut crosswise into 3 sections, each measuring 5 by 10 inches.
- Reserve 1 c. whipped topping for the frosting.
- Spread some of the remaining whipped topping over the middle section of cake, completely covering it.
- Lay 2 bananas parallel to each other over the whipped topping.
- Spoon more whipped topping over the bananas, then place the third banana on top.
- Cover with the remaining whipped topping.
- Gently bring up the 2 side pcs of cake from the outer edges to create the bungalow roof.
- Frost the cake with the reserved whipped topping, then cover with the sprinkles.
- Chill for at least 1 hour, then slice and serve.
- This recipe yields 10 servings.
