Poppy Seed Banana Bread Recipe
- 2 extra ripe bananas, peeled
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 2 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 c. poppy seeds
- Mash bananas.
- Cream sugar and butter till light and fluffy.
- Beat in Large eggs and lemon rind till blended.
- Combine flour, baking pwdr, salt and cinnamon.
- Alternate dry and wet ingredients.
- Stir in poppy seeds.
- Turn into well greased 9 x 5 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 min or possibly till done.
- Cold in pan 10 min.
- Turn onto wire rack and cold completely.
