Homemade Ice Cream - Vanilla Ice Cream

  1. Scald milk until bubbles form around edge of pan.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add sugar and salt, stir until dissolved.
  4. Stir in half and half, vanilla extract and whipping cream.
  5. Pour into ice cream can, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Process in freezer using layers of chopped ice and rock salt until motor stops, no more than 50 minutes.
