Whole Pears Roasted in Garlic

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180 fan forced.
  2. Peel the pears and place in deep baking tray.
  3. In a medium bowl combine garlic, white pepper, olive oil, white wine vinegar.
  4. Stir through the seeded mustard and chopped thyme sprigs.
  5. Pour marinade over the pears and roast in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Baste occasionally.
  7. In the last 10 minutes of cooking drizzle with maple syrup.
  8. Serve with beef or prerfered meat, and garnish with thyme sprigs.
