Best Apple Walnut Cake
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
- 4 cups apples sliced thin
- 1 cup walnuts chopped
- Cream margarine and sugar in mixing bowl.
- Add beaten eggs and vanilla extract and whisk to blend well.
- Combine baking soda, salt, flour and cinnamon; add to egg Add peeled and thinly sliced apples along with the chopped walnuts to batter.
- Blend ONLY enough to spread apples and nuts throughout batter.
- Grease and flour a 13x9x2 inch pan.
- Or use two loaf pans.
- Pour in the batter and bake in a preheated 325F (160C).
- oven for 1 hour.
