Garlic Mushrooms on Toast
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3/4 pound mushrooms sliced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon chives fresh snipped
- 4 slices whole wheat bread rustic, thick-sliced, toasted
- Heat butter and olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium to medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook, stirring until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute longer or until the garlic is fragrant.
- Add the sour cream and water, stirring until heated through.
- Serve on the toast and garnish with the chives.
