Meat And Rice Casserole
- 1 lb. ground round
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. green pepper
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese (sharp is best)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. raw rice
- 2 cans water
- Stove Top bread crumbs
- Cook ground beef, onion, celery and green pepper in margarine for a few minutes.
- Do not brown.
- Remove from fire.
- Add soups, cheese, seasonings, rice and water.
- Place in baking dish (9 x 13-inch).
- Cover with bread crumbs and bake, covered, for 1 1/2 hours at 325u0b0 or until rice is done.
