Besan Burfi Recipe

  1. Method:Heat shortening in a pan.
  2. Turn down heat and add in cardamom and Besan.
  3. Fry, stirring constantly to prevent burning till it has changed to a brown color and smells done.
  4. (Test: a few drops of water sprinkled on it sputters instantly).
  5. Turn off the heat and stir in the sugar.
  6. Spread 1/2" thick onto a platter.
  7. Cut into diamond shapes after it has cooled down.
