Gyro-Style Burgers

  1. Combine the beef, spices, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Let in sit in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  3. Peel, seed, and grate 1 cucumber and drain until all moisture is removed.
  4. Combine drained cucumber, yogurt, salt, garlic, olive oil, and mint in a small bowl.
  5. Let sit in the fridge until ready to serve.
  6. Preheat grill over medium-high heat, brush with canola oil.
  7. Form patties out of the meat mixture and grill 4 minutes per side.
  8. In the last 4 minutes, throw the pita rounds wrapped in foil on the grill.
  9. Remove the patties and round from the grill.
  10. Let rest for 3 minutes.
  11. Peel, seed, and dice the remaining cucumber.
  12. Place a burger on top of the pita round.
  13. Top with the yogurt sauce, onions, cucumber, feta, and tomato.
