Banana Split
- 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 2/3 c. melted margarine
- 1 c. softened butter or margarine
- 2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 lb. can crushed pineapple, drained
- 4 bananas
- 9 oz. Cool Whip
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- maraschino cherries
- chocolate syrup
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and 2/3 cup melted margarine and press into bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Combine and beat together softened butter or margarine, confectioners sugar, vanilla and eggs.
- Spread over graham cracker crumbs.
- Drain pineapple.
- Slice bananas and soak for few minutes in the pineapple juice to prevent browning.
- Drain banana slices and put pineapple and bananas on top of mixture.
- Spread Cool Whip on top of fruit.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup on top and top with halved maraschino cherries.
