Punch Bowl Cake
- 1 cake mix (yellow or white), baked as directed
- 2 small pkg. instant vanilla French pudding
- 5 c. milk, divided in half
- 2 cans pie filling (cherry, blueberry or strawberry)
- 2 cans crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 (12 oz.) cartons Cool Whip
- maraschino cherries (optional)
- chopped nuts (optional)
- Bake cake as directed.
- Crumble one layer of cake in punch bowl.
- Mix 1 package pudding with 2 1/2 cups of milk until slightly thickened.
- Pour over 1st layer.
- Add 1 can drained pineapple.
- Add 1 can pie mix.
- Add 1 carton Cool Whip.
- Add 2nd layer cake.
- Mix pudding mix with 2 1/2 cups of milk and add 1 can drained pineapple.
- Add 1 can pie filling.
- Add 1 carton Cool Whip.
- If you like, add chopped nuts and cherries.
- Chill overnight.
