Banana Cream Pie - Banana Cream Pie

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, flour and salt.
  2. Add milk in gradually while stirring.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is bubbly.
  4. Keep stirring and cooking for 2 more minutes and then remove from heat.
  5. Stir a small amount of the hot mixture into the beaten egg yolks.
  6. Add the egg yolk mixture gradually to the rest of the hot mixture.
  7. Cook for 2 more minutes, stirring constantly.
  8. Remove from heat and add the butter and vanilla.
  9. Stir until it has a smooth consistency.
  10. Slice bananas into the pie shell.
  11. Top with pudding mixture.
  12. Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) F. for 12 to 15 minutes.
  13. Chill for an hour.
