Greek Clove Tea Cakes

  1. Combine butter and 3/4 cup powdered sugar in bowl.
  2. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  3. Add flour, vanilla, 1/2 teaspoon cloves and brandy extract; beat at low speed until well mixed.
  4. Cover; refrigerate 1 hour until firm.
  5. Heat oven to 350F.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
  7. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake 15-17 minutes or until very lightly browned.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Sprinkle cooled cookies with powdered sugar and cloves.
  11. *Substitute vanilla.
