Dit Plash Seafood Gumbo(Learned From Charlie)
- 10 small bell peppers
- 4 large onions
- 2 bunches celery
- 2 large tomato sauce (29 oz.)
- 1 large tomato (29 oz.)
- 2 qt. water
- salt, pepper, cayenne pepper
- 4 bay leaves
- dash of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 c. flour
- oil
- 3 lb. crabmeat
- 3 lb. shrimp (after peeled)
- 3 large pkg. okra (20 oz. each)
- rice
- Saute the bellteppers, onions and celery in oil.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato, water, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, bay leaves, and Worcestershiretauce.take about 2 cups of flour in oil for roux
- and
- add to above.
- Let boil 10 minutes.
- Add crabmeat and shrimp.
- Let
- boilt5 minutes.
- Add okra and let boil about 20 minutes, stirring often.
- Serve over rice.
