Mincemeat Drop Cookies Recipe

• 3/4 c. shortening
• 1 1/2 c. sugar
• 3 well beaten Large eggs
• 3 c. enriched flour
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1 (9 ounce.) pkg. mincemeat
• 3 tbsp. water
• 1 c. broken nuts

1. Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add in Large eggs and beat well.
3. Add in half of sifted dry ingredients to creamed mix.
4. Add in finely crumbled mincemeat and water.
5. Stir till blended.
6. Add in nuts and remaining flour mix.
7. Mix well.
8. Drop from tsp.
9. onto greased cookie sheet.
10. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 10 to 15 min.
11. NOTE: 1 c. canned mincemeat may be used.
