Ukrainian Borscht Recipe
- 6 c. water
- 1/2 c. onion, minced
- 1 c. red cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 c. green pepper, diced
- 1 c. beets, shredded
- 1 c. carrots, shredded
- 1 c. stewed tomatoes
- 1 rib celery, sliced
- 1/2 c. mushrooms, sliced
- 1 c. kidney beans
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- Saute/fry vegetables till tender.
- Add in beans, tomatoes, and seasonings.
- Simmer till done.
- Serve with a drop of lemonnaise on top.
