Huli-Huli Spareribs

  1. Combine the first 6 ingredients in bowl.
  2. Add spareribs and toss to thoroughly coat pieces with sauce.
  3. Reserving sauce, remove ribs and place, meaty side up, in a 9 x 13-inch microwave-safe dish.
  4. Let stand 10 minutes.
  5. Cover and microwave on Medium-high (70%) for 16 minutes, rotating dish once.
  6. Place ribs on grill 4 to 5 inches from medium-hot coals.
  7. Brush with reserved sauce.
  8. Cook 8 to 10 minutes; turn and brush occasionally with sauce or place ribs on rack of broiler pan and brush with reserved sauce; broil 4 to 5 inches from heat source 6 minutes on each side.
  9. Brush once with remaining sauce.
