Hamburger Stroganoff
- 1 pound ground beef browned
- ground turkey
- meat
- chopped onion
- chopped garlic
- mushrooms Chopped
- 1 cup beef broth or red wine
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup lowfat
- mushrooms canned, drained, or fresh
- ground pepper fresh
- dill weed
- noodles
- nonfat sour cream
- Drain well blotting any extra fat.
- Saute the onion, garlic, and mushrooms.
- Add one cup fat free beef broth to the cooked meat mixture (could use a good red wine). Stir in one can of Healthy Request or other low fat/ff cream of mushroom soup. Add canned mushrooms (drained) or fresh cooked ones. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to simmer. Add fresh ground pepper, and a small amount of dill weed.
- Cook noodles. When almost finished add a couple big spoonfuls of ff sour cream to the meat/soup mixture. Heat through. Add more pepper and dill according to your taste.
- Drain the noodles and serve the meat mixture over the hot noodles.
