Crouching Hot... Hidden Sour Soup
- 6 cups chicken broth or Seafood Stock
- 8 ounces bamboo shoots Cut to preference
- 1 cup chicken Shrimp, Lobster or Langostinos
- 1 cup shitake mushrooms & Firm Tofu both cut to preference
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 eggs beaten slightly mixed
- 1/2 inch ginger grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce Red Wine Vinegar & Cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 3 teaspoons brown sugar
- black pepper White/, to taste
- green onions Chopped
- Heat chicken broth over medium-high heat in a large stock pot until warmed through.ndd chicken, mushrooms, tofu and bamboo shoots, then stir in ginger, soy soy sauce, red wine vinegar, chili paste, brown sugar and white pepper.net mixture simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a small glass, whisk cornstarch into 2 tablespoons cold water to create a slurry. Once mixture is smooth, gradually stir it into soup.nook for another 5-8 minutes, or until soup is thickened.
